NorthStar Gaming Joins the Growing Ontario Sports Betting Market

NorthStar Gaming Joins the Growing Ontario Sports Betting Market
By Mark Keast

NorthStar Gaming has launched its new made-in-Ontario platform, NorthStar Bets, featuring Ontario online casino games and a sportsbook.

There are now 22 licensed websites belonging to 14 operators live in the province, according to iGaming Ontario’s website.

NorthStar Gaming CEO Michael Moskowitz said in a statement: “NorthStar was designed and built for Ontarians and as an Ontario-based company, we’re excited to launch in our home province. We hope to inspire a sense of home team pride amongst our customers as they discover and engage with our platform and NorthStar Bets content.”

Other players currently live in the market, including operators like PointsBet Canada and FanDuel Sportsbook Ontario, are saying the same thing, of course.

NorthStar does have an advantage in the relevant and timely Ontario sports betting content category, though. It has an advertising and marketing services arrangement with Torstar Corp., allowing NorthStar Bets users and readers of access to real-time sports betting content.

NHL betting insider Chris Johnston headlines the NorthStar Bets content team with exclusive insights and commentary.
