AbsoluteBet has officially entered the Ontario online casino market, becoming the 50th regulated iGaming operator to launch in the province.
The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) granted AbsoluteBet a one-year license on August 27, followed by an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario (iGO). This partnership allows the Toronto-based company to legally offer online casino services to players in Ontario.
As of mid-August, iGaming Ontario’s list of live operators stands at 50, with 87 gaming websites currently active under the province’s regulated framework. iGO is responsible for managing commercial agreements and ensuring compliance with Ontario’s regulated gaming model.
“Securing AGCO registration is more than a milestone — it’s the start of AbsoluteBet’s journey in one of the most exciting regulated markets in the world,” said Chen Truman, Founder of AbsoluteBet. “We are building a brand that will grow with the Ontario community and set the stage for future expansion."
AbsoluteBet Targeting December Launch
Founded in 2014, AbsoluteBet plans to go live by December 2025, launching with a mobile-first online casino platform tailored to compete with other Ontario betting apps.
The company becomes the third new iGaming brand to join Ontario’s market in 2025, following the entries of Betiton and Betsafe earlier this year.
“I’m incredibly proud to see all the hard work behind this license pay off,” said Krisztina Kalla, Legal & Regulatory Compliance Advisor at AbsoluteBet. “Securing AGCO registration took months of preparation and collaboration. Now we look forward to launching AbsoluteBet in a fun and responsible way for Ontario players.”
