Most Searched Airlines In Ontario

The winner would perhaps come as a big surprise to many – this prop likely would have had long odds at Ontario sportsbook apps if they offered lines on such things.

Porter Airlines, which began in 2006, was the winner with a search interest score of 100 compared to other topics. The airline’s website says that it flies to more than 30 destinations and has new jet service from Pearson Airport, which might help explain the amount of interest that Ontario residents have in the company. Porter also has service to Toronto’s downtown Billy Bishop Airport with regional routes.

And the Toronto Pearson Airport website highlights some major destinations that are new offers from Porter: Miami, Los Angeles and San Francisco are now options from the carrier.

Flair Airlines finished second in our count of the most-searched airlines in Ontario with a score of 83, followed by three more famous brands: Air Canada (31 points), Delta (19) and American Airlines (18).

Where Pearson Airport Ranks

According to WorldData.Info, Pearson finishes well ahead of any other Canadian airport for volume, which makes sense considering that Toronto is the nation’s biggest city. The FlightsFrom.com website has Pearson ranked No. 41 in the world for the most scheduled daily departures.

Another major part of the flight plan in the province is Ottawa’s Macdonald-Cartier International Airport. The website for the airport in the nation’s capital lists 11 airlines, including Porter, Flair and Air Canada.
